That night after I left the cab when we left Double O and I was trying to put my key into the stupid door keyhole as quietly as possible when I heard this...
PONG!!
And a screeching sound that can be only made by metal against concrete, which followed a most scary loud motor turbine sound and a final choking sound of an engine dying.
I was quite unsure of everything. Should I continue trying to turn the damn key or go and look over the corridor's railing? Curiosity got the better of me so I poked my head over the railing and saw this guy getting out of the car. OMG.
He was wearing a baby blue shirt and he walked out like he was seriously dazed. And all this happened like at 3am you know. Then I saw many uncles running out from the coffee shop beside my house towards the car.
The car was on the sidewalk with lots of debris lying around it. In my equally dazed state of mind I called Tracy who just left in the cab, hoping she didn't miss it. Anyway, I got a bit too excited over it and started giggling a bit stupidly. Must have been the alcohol. Hah.
On another note, I'm leaving on Monday night. I CAN'T WAIT! Miss you!

Boobs and Booze
I spent my first clubbing experience today at Double O. Although I've always been promised of lots of boobs and booze, but I was severely disappointed with typical looking girls and lecherous men. Seriously, it's gross. Tracy said there'd be lots of boobs but all I could see was girls, guys and desperadoes.
Sure there was okay people, but after a while they're all the same to me. After a drink of gin and tonic(Free cos it's ladies' night), Tracy dragged me to the dance floor and proceeded to try to make me dance.
All the techno and people and most of all, the lights, it was very bad. I mean, I was just mesmerized and dazzled by it, although I was damn sober, they kept trying to make me dance. The frenzied whirling and lights in different colours at dizzying speed just made me remember about "The Book of the Dead" by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, where Diogenes trapped visitors to a tomb exhibit and made them go mad with that kind of light-display.
Anyway, I've found out I can draw, do sports, fight, scold people til' they faint, sing(maybe), but never dance. I don't have a single dancing bone in my body.
And seeing the people getting excited over a techno-remix song is damn dumb. I felt really out of place and luckily Fatty brought me to the bar instead for drinks.
I got to know Tracy's ADM friends doing Film. There was a guy called Feng, which Li Nan thought his name is Firm..And his soon-to-be-girlfriend called Cindy who looks like Kai Xin. HAHA.
The worse thing is, people thought I was from China because I'm his cousin..NO OKAY. Distant. DISTANT! I'm Singaporean. And this Feng thought I was Indonesian.. -_-
Anyway, once I got to know he played Rugby in JC we could just talk. I don't know. It's always easier for me to talk to guys. It's just an easier thing to do. Talking about fly-tackling, being wingers and stuff just IS easier.
Oh, although Jeslyn and Tracy told me about the pervertic men on the dancefloor and I was trying to "dance", which was my putting the weight on one foot and then to the other, which ended up with me looking stupid, the lecherous looking men around me just made me feel very, very fired up. You can say you can just ignore them but whatever. I was in the mood to kill.
It was fun anyway, I felt totally embarressed trying to dance. Even thought they tried to cheer me up and all that, I just hated it. I hate dancing and trying to pretend to be excited over a song and I hate looking so dumb, trying to dance. Ugh. I really think clubbing's not my kind of thing.
I can't believe my all-time favourite Sally-kins spend half her life doing this.
Seriously.

Gays and Prayers
I was in Borders with Tracy the other day when I was waiting for my turn at the counter to ask if Borders had the book I wanted. I was hoping I'd get a different girl from the previous one I asked about another book because she..., "HI! MAY I HELP YOU?", until damn loud. I saw Tracy sneakily walking behind me after that loud sentence and I also saw a few heads turning in our direction. And I think I also saw my inward cringe in the assistant's eyes.
So I got a guy, which was even worse. But this time, it was a very feminine-he. While I have nothing against gays, I just feel uncomfortable and irritated when they behave overly-feminine. Well, the thing is, girls don't behave so womanly, so why are the so-called feminine gays acting like that? Their feminine behavior is so unlike real women behavior.
Anyway, our convo went on like this..
Gay guy: Hi..How can I help you?
Me (Very awkward): Er...Can I ask if you guys have the book called "Fire Study" here?
Gay Guy: Hmm, Fire Starter is it? Let's see..
And he proceeds to start typing on his keyboard while putting one finger on his lower lip..
Me: Er no, Fire Study.
Gay Guy: OH. Bible Study..!
Me (Very exasperatedly): No no no! FY-ER STA-DI!
Gay Guy: Oh!!! Fire Study...
He continued typing on his keyboard and then..
Gay Guy: Okay see ahhh..I'm not sure if we have any stocks in, but you can try searching under "Science Fiction" over there. It's by Maria V. Snyder right? So you look under "Assssssssssss".
He even drew an imaginary "S" in the air. Oh.My.God. I mean, thank you for your help, but I kinda got a bit freaked out.
Gay Guy continues..: Do you need my help to go find it for you?
Me: No, no thanks.
I walked very quickly away from the counter after trying to give him a thank-you smile.
I never did find the book.

Towns and Clowns
I was out with Tracy in the Marina Square area and we had a good time shopping for the guys stuff or rather, trying to find their presents. Anyway, we were sitting at Suntec's indoor fountain and I was talking to Tracy about some dumb thing when this group of Caucasian girls approached us. I looked over and you know, due to my very horrible hearing..
Hot Caucasian girl: Hi, could you help take us ta Fargo?
Me: HUH?
Tracy: Oh okay, you(nudging me) go la.
Me: HUH???!
And all that time I was panicking and feeling quite upset by Tracy because I don't know where Fargo is! Then I looked at her friends and it took me like 10 seconds to realise she was asking me to help them take a photo.
I don't know if it's me or it's her British accent. They were hot, though. And I felt a bit panicky during the photo-taking and Tracy said it made them feel visibly uncomfortable. HAHA. Shit.
And they were thanking me profusely after that. I felt a bit embarrassed from their overwhelming sense of gratitude from just my photo-taking skills..
So after that Tracy kindly walked with me all the way to the Esplanade bus stop to take the bus when I received a text from Walter Hein! Haha, and he said that he heard I missed him so he messaged me..
Well, we were talking about how him being in the army and me being in NTU with funny-speaking lecturers, without each other to make fun of them, it was boring and stuff.
Hnn. So we plan to catch a movie soon =))
I miss the time when we went to PJ's roof top and explored the place, playing Handball and being in the same group that keeps losing with him..and stuff. And taking photos of each other asleep and making fun of Patrick Tong alllll the time. And laughing at Fatty's GP essay..
Anyway, I seriously can't wait to leave for Hokkaido!
I hate going to town now. Ugh, all the post A level people. Not that I don't feel happy for them, but so many of them are like a happy bunch and the looks/feelings they give people are "OMG, We just finished As!". I know the feeling, but I don't believe I was like that. Tracy said I wasn't like that last year. And town is so bloody crowded because of all the holiday people. The trains are packed, the shops are filled with all the eager shoppers, blah blah.
Tracy don't seem as festive about Christmas this year as last year. Maybe I should build her an Xmas tree to cheer her up :)
Got to visit Tracy Lee tomorrow. She plucked out her wisdom tooth today. OUCH.
